Just hope they leave enough character slots for me to do this. It will keep me playing awhile.|||
Q u o t e:
I will probably end up having two (or more) of the same class leveling, since I'll have a character that I play with my co-workers, and then a different character that I play with family, and then a different character that I play alongside my best friend, etc.
why would you play the same class in all 3 of these situations? Why not play 3 different classes?|||

well in that case Kaivax, i hope you're not planning on doing that with all 5 classes, because you can only have 10 characters|||Blizzard was considering allowing players to sell their characters (at least it sounded that way.)
So you level one character to max level: "ah man, I feel like leveling up another monk... Oh wait, I can level another one, switch the gear across from this guy and then sell him!"
I like the RMAH but i'm a little iffy about being able to buy and sell characters, I think blizzard feels the same.. How much do you guys think a high level character would sell for? $15? $20? ... If you want to re-level something with a friend and have no use for your old character, i'd consider that price a fair enough incentive to transfer my gear and then start over.|||I can't see myself rebuilding multiples of a character given the current systems in place. Since character builds are all but eliminated this would be redundant for me, and having to play through nightmare again would probably end up just being a chore since there's no player choice beyond level 30 and the challenge is only moderate. I'd rather grind my original level 60 char for item hunting than restart that class again.
I'd be content making one of each class in both HC and SC. But beyond that don't see the need for multiples of a class.|||Im gonna get stuck at the character selection screen forever...|||

yeah, the 7 million people in US will all be in hell|||

Not sure what point you're trying to make with this obscure statement. But if you suggest I'll want to restart a character to play with other low level people you're wrong.
In Diablo 2 I'd be perfectly willing to build a new character. In D3 that experience seems drab since there's so little in terms of character building. Since I'd see experience as redundant I'd simply not want to play with lower level characters, unless they're willing to play with a character that may be well advanced beyond their level.
There's only so much redundancy I can tolerate. Sure I can choose to play a given class using different skills, but the sense of advancement would be vapid for me. I've already made these advancement before and taken them farther. It would feel like I was starting the game over again after a lost saved file, which sucks much of the life out of that experience.|||It WOULD be nice if the skill progression wasn't fixed. That the tiers were brought back in a fashion: you can pick the order you get your skills top to bottom, or it's randomized. Playing the same exact progression every single time is just wrong: a level 1 Monk should not be forced to use Shiny Fist at the start of the game every single time you play one.
Somewhat confused why they're not using Skill Tomes again, which is the correct way to go here: you want to spec a specific skill? Okay. Buy these skill tomes to rank up your skills. You can max everything, but it will cost you. It will cost you dearly.
Oh wait. All players have flippers for hands right? Disregard...
