Hell if people love their character at least it is something to keep working towards as you grind gear...its just another bonus along with achievements and loot....

I just get this feeling that everyone being level 60 all the time is going to lose something that was so much fun in DII....hell i was level 97 once and It felt awesome to be apart of that group even though I had no life...it was just another part of what kept me playing|||im soo all for this........they can cap damage and such at 60 but still let us lvl upwards........can you amagine a game with no lvl cap.......people would lose there minds....haters would go nuts lol i understand why blizz is doing the cap but alot of people i think more than not would be all for it..... cept haters......some people live for the grind ...i say keep it at 60 or have no cap at all with a steep curve...c'mon blizz let us have some lvl 293 gods ! lol|||

I would love to be in a game with 3 other people one at level 73 one at level 92 one at 61, it would add such a large extra dynamic to the epeen of what Diablo is|||They should make it so that, for every level after 60, you require double the experience for the next level. You don't need to make a level cap, that way.
If it takes you 10 hours to get from 60 to 65, then it will take you 13 straight days to get to 70. It will then take 1.1 straight years of playing to get to 75, and 34 straight years to get to 80. Then, it would take about a thousand straight years of playing to get to 85, and another 32 thousand years to get to 90.|||blizz thinks if they put the cap low that will give us more time to farm since thats what sets diablo above the others is the loot...i see the logic but it dont work....i play city of heroes and guild wars both with low lvl caps ( 50 ) and (20) in theory there telling you there giving you more time to focas on whats fun but whats fun for me is lvling.........i know what im doing after work lvling and finding loot..lvling finding loot ...your taking away half my fun with a cap...its just my opinion but others feel the same.... so after im done capped out im just finding loot wich is fine i guess but might as well let me have some virtural xp i meen with no ladder how are we going to know who is allmighty?lol|||people will die playing this game before they reach over 9000, thank you blizz for saving nerd lives.|||

And even so it is still a goal...just another thing to add to the tally of playing the same character over and over again...I believe this is a fantastic idea...|||i think i like the idea of a lvl 150 over a lvl 75 that takes the same amount of time to get to....its that gratification you feel when you hear the sound (ding or whatever) when you hit that next lvl is what does it for me...if it takes to long and your stuck at one lvl to long is when it becomes a grind ........kinda like its going to feel to get from 59-60 hint hint.......give us our lvls more often i say if you want to take the grind out...give us our capless lvling for something to shoot for...give us our loot to drool over...and give us our beta to test..and we will give your game undieing devotion : )|||

just goin over board. But unfortunatly Blizz is going to raise the level cap with expansions so this little fun leveling extravaganza is not going to happen. But I think there will be some hard core achievements for you guys.|||2009 called, it wants it's thread back....
60 is fine and it's not going to change no matter how many times a level grind is suggested.|||

your probly right blizz is just doing what all the other games are doing no reason to be diffrent its just diablo 3 ::smirk: i guess 60 would be fine for some............but theres other types of players the grinders the hard core the purest......we all love the game ...heck blizzard might ass well just start everyone off at 60 so the meek dont have to lvl and those that started off at lvl 1 could infinatly lvl everyones damage and such would be equily caped at 60 tho.......then thos that was for the 60 cap would crrrry!!!!!!|||Nah, leveling based on the curve WoW had worked well.|||but then you will outlevel inferno making it useless

Point is you don't level higher then inferno...everything is still capped at 60...what happens past that is just an increasing number to show how much you have played on that character...it is kind of like a /played...basically just another Epeen thing for people to brag over...
Its why we play games like DIII...to have the best gear, to be the coolest and to have fun reaching those points...|||

this would be no fun ... because eventually everyone would plateau, rather quickly, to a point where reaching another level was just impossible, creating the same effect as being lvl 60.
id advocate making each lvl above 60 the same amount of experience...essenti
Then add item sinks where you gain experience for torching an item and grant cosmetic changes, or new stances for players above specific levels to add incentive.|||

I like this idea, though its extremely unpolished as it is now. Simply increasing the level above 60 is ugly...and confusing to some. Its something blizzard would never do.
However, there is no reason they couldn't create a sub-leveling system. Something that sits next to your level...like a reputation meter. Something that increases not only through experience gained, but experience gained in all areas of the game.
reputation meter increases through
1. experience
2. infusing self with high level items
3. through sinking tons of gold
4. pvp and arena
5. etc.
Go a step further: Every time a player reaches a 10th level on the reputation meter diablo clone idea spawns...giving a random percentage of open games the chance to get a rare item. This item nearly mirrors the Diablo Clone idea in D2....requiring players to remove items from the game to get a chance to fight a mob that drops a specific unique item (torch).
