No, only normal difficulty items can be sold.
HOW THE HELL can you ask a stupid question like that? I CAN'T BELIEVE you guys I really can't, ask if you're able to sell only helms? why not?
this is one of the most stupid question ever asked imho
I still think the most retarded question ever made is "How can I customize my character?"|||

Where did you hear this? Also would like to know the answer as it seems hardcore will be much more rewarding than in D2.
I have read / watched so many things the last couple weeks, I honestly can't remember. I was hoping someone else would be able to post it, but I think it was in a video about the RMAH.
They said something about HC characters wouldn't be allowed to buy items from the RMAH because of concept that you just dropped a bunch of money, then go out and die, it creates a potential problem.

No. Hardcore characters will only have the option to buy and sell items together with other Hardcore characters via a separate "Hardcore-only"
I guess they won't be able to buy or sell... unless someone can show otherwise?|||

No. Hardcore characters will only have the option to buy and sell items together with other Hardcore characters via a separate "Hardcore-only"gold-based auction house; they will not be able to use the currency-based auction house. Hardcore mode is designed as an optional experience for players who enjoy the sense of constant peril that comes with the possibility of permanent death for a character. All of a Hardcore character’s items are forever lost upon that character’s death, so to avoid the risk of a player spending real money on items that could then be permanently lost when the character dies, we decided restrict the use of the currency-based auction house in Hardcore mode.

That makes sense.|||

That just goes to show people that Blizzard is not a money grubbing company that doesn't care about its players.
I think the implications are fairly obvious. You could equate a hardcore player wasting their pay check on the RMAH to that of a gambler blowing his money at the casino every week.
I think this is a really good move from Blizzard and it allows the HC people to regulate their economy so that the re-gearing process after losing a maxed out character can be somewhat less painful.

I think this is a bone-head move. Why the F--- would they allow an underground RMAH to make money on hardcore? Seriously, JSP was mostly used by hardcore characters, which make up a HUGE portion of the trades. Plus, why be fake about it? Let us buy and sell what the hell we want to buy and sell. They already caved to the idea of RMAH, why be such p2ssies about it with HC?|||

Honestly, even if players know the implications and know that if they die and lose the items, they will still call Blizzard and complain and try to get their money back. They could go as far as legal action even though they don't really have a leg to stand on. Legally Blizzard still has to respond to it which costs money and time.
I think it makes sense to not put that owness on themselves knowing it will cause issues with irresponsible players.
